When deciding what to have for breakfast, the best thing you can do is to have a few quick healthy breakfast ideas that not only taste good but also aid in your goal to lose weight. If there is one thing I have learned on the road to weight loss, it is this; a healthy high protein breakfast is essential to aid in weight loss.
I have found that one of the fastest, easiest and tastiest options is to have a Herbalife nutritional shake. Herbalife is a balanced, protein based breakfast which gives me everything I require to be healthy as well to keep me completely satisfied.

The best part about it is how fast it can be made, just two minutes of my time and I have a filling meal on my hands. It is so delicious that I have now nicknamed it my PinaColada breakfast; not only am I eating healthy, I am loving what I eat!

One of the quick healthy breakfast ideas I use is to eat scrambled egg whites and sautéed vegetables. Other yummy options which can be included are vegetable salads, a cup of non fat cottage cheese or even Protein Fortified Oatmeal. I always make sure that the Protien Fortified Oatmeal is made from plain rolled oats as this contains 100% whole grain and is a great source of soluble fiber. This breakfast ensures that I feel full and also helps me to lower my cholesterol levels.

The thing to keep in mind is that if you are interested in losing or controlling your weight you have to keep a strict eye on the amount of calories you consume. Therefore this breakfast ensures that I have not consumed extra calories and have also has a healthy breakfast.

Whenever I have this substitute breakfast I make sure that I also have a glass of milk. This is to make sure that I get my required dose of protein. To keep in line with the quick healthy breakfast ideas as well as to ensure that I have a high protein breakfast, I have found that the best option is to have soya milk.
Many Doctors, including Dr. Campbell in his book “The Chins Study”, have found that cows milk is not as good for us as we would like to think it is. The better, healthier option is soya milk and so I prefer to have a glass with my breakfast.

When looking for quick healthy breakfast ideas, one breakfast I would not recommend is cereal. Cereal usually consists of refined carbs, and filled with sugar, fat and artificial flavors. Cereal usually does not give you the protein requirement you need and is also low on nutrients. Another disadvantage of having cereal for breakfast is that you are going to be feeling hungry again soon.

 Of course not all cereals are bad. If you stick to high fiber, whole grain, low sugar cereals then this will be a healthy breakfast. However these types of cereal are not easy to find and they do not taste as good as the other quick healthy breakfast ideas I have found.

Therefore, for the best quick healthy breakfast ideas I find it is better to stick with meal replacements like Herbalife protein shake as not only does it taste good, you also give your body exactly what it needs.
