Eating quick healthy breakfast foods is not as hard at is sounds. Usually my morning are a rush but with a little planning and careful thought, I was able to come up with some healthy breakfast food options, which ensure that my body gets all the nutrients it deserves.
To start with let me give you an idea of what exactly a healthy breakfast includes as well as to make sure that you are eating a healthy breakfast.
Protein
One of the most important things to include when planning a healthy breakfast menu is to make sure you have a high protein breakfast. The best ways to guarantee you get the correct amount of protein for your breakfast is to have a high protein breakfast shake like Herbalife shake mix. Other options of a high protein breakfast also include boiled or scrambled eggs, preferably with no yolk or one yolk at the most, lean meat, tofu, chicken and low fat or non fat dairy products. Try and stay away from or at least reduce the high-fat protein foods such as cheese, sausages and full fat dairy products.
One of the reasons it is so important to include a lot of protein into your list of healthy breakfast food is because protein contains amino acids which travel to the brain to control your hunger, as well as gives support to your muscles. Protein is an excellent form of energy and therefore I always make sure that I have a high protein breakfast. The easiest and fastest way I found to get all the protein I require was to have a Herbalife shake mix. Not only is it extremely fast to prepare, it is also tasty and makes sure I don’t consume excess calories as well. Therefore I find this the best option for a high protein breakfast.
Fruit, Vegetables, Berries
Eating healthy breakfast food means you should also ensure that your body receives the required vitamins, minerals and fiber. Therefore including fruit, vegetables and berries into your list of healthy breakfast foods ensures this. Also, it has been recently discovered that these area great source of phytonutrients so I always try and include fruit, vegetables and berries into my list of healthy breakfast food.
Good fat
When trying to lose or maintain your weight it is important to stay away from fatty foods. However certain types of fat are good for you so it is important that you add them into your list of healthy breakfast food.
Options for eating foods with good fat include avocado toast, olive oil, nuts and seeds.
Whole grains
If you are trying to lose weight you have to make sure that you are careful of the quantity of calories you consume when it comes to whole grains. Good healthy breakfast choices include muesli and rolled oats. Try and avoid foods such as instant porridge or granola as it is loaded with sugar and reduces the health factor involved.
When making a list of healthy foods to eat you should keep in mind that eating only carbs will lead to hunger pangs much earlier on in the day when compared to eating a healthy breakfast food full of protein. I have found that the best choice for me, when it comes to having healthy breakfast foods, is to stick to Herbalife protein powder and a glass of milk. This ensures that I get the entire requirement my body needs out of the healthy breakfast foods I have eaten and I also get to enjoy a tasty breakfast.
